I am an Associate Professor at the Institute of Evolutionary Ecology and Conservation Genomics, University of Ulm, Germany and a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. I came first to the tropics in 1991 when I started working on the pollination of bromeliads by nectar-feeding bats. Since that time I am fascinated by the multitude of interactions occurring in the Old and New World tropics. Currently I have more than 130 publications (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=keXSJUoAAAAJ&hl=de), mostly on topics related to Ecology, Zoology, and particularly to bats.
