Autobiography
I am a conservation scientist with training and professional experience in wildlife ecology, human–wildlife interactions, and applied conservation research in Tanzania. I have worked extensively on large carnivore conservation and human–carnivore conflict mitigation in northern Tanzania, particularly in landscapes adjacent to protected areas such as Mkomazi National Park.
My research experience includes household-based socio-ecological surveys, camera-trap monitoring, spatial data analysis, and the application of emerging technologies to support wildlife population monitoring and coexistence strategies. I have collaborated with national and international conservation organisations and research institutions, and I am currently affiliated with IUCN Tanzania, where I support evidence-based conservation initiatives and community-focused natural resource management.
My research interests focus on understanding the ecological and social drivers of human–wildlife conflict, evaluating the effectiveness of mitigation interventions, and improving wildlife monitoring using spatio-temporal data. Through my work, I aim to generate scientific evidence that informs policy, management, and sustainable coexistence between people and wildlife in Tanzania.
