Jestina Japhet Kimbesa (Kim) is dedicated to helping people and organizations reach their full potential. She has over a decade of experience in leadership development, organizational growth, and donor program management. Kim has worked with major donors such as USAID and FCDO, managing multi-million-dollar portfolios in education, health, agriculture, conservation, and natural resource management. At USAID, she oversaw conservation projects valued at more than $50 million, co-led the Mission’s Climate Change Working Group, and advanced gender integration across programs. These experiences reinforced her belief that thriving individuals drive organizational and community success.
Currently, Jestina leads Maliasili Initiative’s Tanzania team, overseeing strategy implementation and managing partner relationships. She collaborates with local NGOs and community-based organizations, offering strategic planning, fundraising, communications, and leadership support. Her approach emphasizes clarity, confidence, and collaboration, enabling partners to address challenges, strengthen institutions, and amplify their impact in conservation and development.
