Fridah Dermmillah Obare has immense experience in the wildlife sector in Africa. In the past 10 years, she has worked in different areas as a researcher, consultant, community liaison, and capacity-building person, in addition to licensing and regulatory capacities. She is continuously exploring issues on environmental governance that will be responsive to the needs of the Indigenous People and Local Community through interdisciplinary approaches. She works for Kenya Wildlife Service and is a PhD Candidate at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She speaks English and Kiswahili.
