Caroline Pollan is a current sophomore at Rice University double majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (BS) and Visual Art (BA), and minoring in Environmental Studies. She is primarily interested in ecological research with a focus on species and ecosystem conservation, but is also interested in natural history and anything related to paleontology. Engaging in undergraduate research here at Rice has enabled Caroline to build the necessary skills to succeed in the lab, including scientific writing and communication, coding in R, data analysis and visualization, and field work techniques in a variety of settings. Caroline has experience in research related to urban bat ecology and bat migration physiology.
