Autobiography
My name is Consolatha Carlos Njovu, and I was born on 04.08.1981 in Dare salaam. My parents were ANNA JOSEPH MADEGA and CARLOS CARLOS NJOVU One of my parents deceased, my dad died at age of 55 in 1988 from tetanus. My mother lives in Morogoro region, both of my parents were farmers.
My educational journey led me to study Eco-Tourism and Nature Conservation at Sebastian Kolowa University College. Through various school projects, I developed a deep interest in wildlife conservation and ecosystem preservation.
After completing my formal education, I began my career in the field of education in 2008. In 2018, I transitioned to environmental conservation, where I became involved in community awareness programs addressing human-wildlife conflict, controlling invasive alien plant species, and implementing mitigation measures. Working closely with local communities has been invaluable in helping me understand the challenges they face and develop sustainable solutions.
I have come to realize that conservation is deeply connected to people and their environments. I’m eager to deepen my understanding of community-based conservation in Tanzania, with the goal of integrating scientific insights and local knowledge to foster more sustainable environmental practices.
I am deeply committed to my work, finding new lessons and opportunities every day to make a meaningful impact. I enjoy inspiring others to join in the effort to conserve nature, starting from low level to high level.
