Autobiography

As an accomplished Operations Manager with extensive experience in wildlife conservation, I bring over 17 years of expertise in managing conservation programs across Tanzania, with a strong focus on human-wildlife interactions and political ecology. In my current role as Operations Manager for the Frankfurt Zoological Society in the Selous Game Reserve, I am responsible for coordinating large-scale conservation initiatives, strengthening government-donor-NGO partnerships, and overseeing the implementation of donor-funded projects. Throughout my career, I have led initiatives on wildlife law enforcement, advanced ranger training, and strategic conservation planning. My hands-on experience includes developing infrastructure to support conservation efforts, conducting organizational capacity assessments, and fostering community engagement to promote sustainable human-wildlife coexistence. Driven by a commitment to ecological integrity and equity in wildlife management, my research interests include exploring the socio-political dimensions of conservation, the impacts of habitat fragmentation, and innovative approaches to restoring degraded landscapes to benefit both biodiversity and local communities.
