Howard is a conservation biologist who has worked in Tanzania and many other countries around Africa for 30 years. Since 2000 he has collaborated with TAWIRI and other institutions with a focus on wildlife censuses, and for the past 5 years has been focused on improvement of wildlife survey and monitoring methods.
