Pius Damalu was born and raised in the small town of Lindi, in the southeastern part of Tanzania, near the Indian Ocean. His interest and passion for communities and conservation led him to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Management from Mweka and continue to nourish his skills through research work. The direction of his education has now become a life care path where he works for andBeyond Travels as an Impact Coordinator for the East Africa region working on the company’s vision through sustainability and community development. Before joining andBeyond Travels, Pius had previously worked as a Game Officer of Lindi Municipal and as a researcher on Carbon reduction initiatives. Currently, he is working on ensuring the implementation of the andBeyond Conservation and sustainability projects for all Lodges and camps while liaising with Wild Impact for community works.
