Dr. Kelvin Ngongolo is an academician and researcher based at The University of Dodoma (UDOM), Tanzania. He holds a strong background in Animal Science and Biodiversity Conservation, with a broad interest in the sustainable management of natural resources and the preservation of endangered species.
Dr. Ngongolo's work primarily focuses on the interface between wildlife conservation, community development, and ecological sustainability. His research explores areas such as wildlife ecology, human-wildlife interactions, sustainable livelihoods, invasive species management, and ecosystem restoration. He is also actively involved in in situ conservation strategies and the application of One Health approaches, particularly in semi-arid and biodiversity-rich regions like Dodoma and the Eastern Arc Mountains.
He has collaborated with various governmental institutions, conservation NGOs, and academic partners to implement community-based conservation programs that enhance both ecological resilience and local economic empowerment.
