Autobiography

I am Mussa Daud Chenga, a Tanzanian graduate in Wildlife and Conservation Science (2025) at university of Dar es salaam. During my studies, I conducted research on beach users' participation and perception in beach conservation at Coco Beach and gained hands-on experience in eDNA sampling and biodiversity conservation. Also undertook my Field Practical Training in two key ecological areas of Tanzania: Kitulo National Park and the Tarangire–Manyara Ecosystem. At Kitulo, I focused on high-altitude grassland ecology, conducting vegetation surveys and identifying plant and bird species, especially orchids and other endemic flora. In the Tarangire–Manyara ecosystem, I was involved in wildlife census, animal tracking, and studying habitat use by large mammals such as elephants and giraffes. I also explored conservation challenges, human-wildlife conflicts, and the role of community participation in sustainable conservation. This training deepened my skills in ecological research, species identification, and environmental conservation, while giving me practical exposure to real-world biodiversity management.
